Orthopedic Surgeons treat injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. This includes bones, joints, the surrounding soft tissues such as ligaments, tendons, muscles, and their nerve and vascular supply.
Dr. Foster graduated from Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
He completed the Orthopedic Surgery Training Program in Oklahoma City and practiced here in Oklahoma City from 1985 through his retirement in 2019. Dr. Foster was a Clinical Instructor with the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Foster is Board Certified by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He was originally certified in 1987 and then re-certified in 1995, 2005, and recently in 2017.
Dr. Foster provided operative and non-operative care to patients with a variety of Orthopedic Conditions. This included the treatment of fractures, conditions of the upper extremity including the hand, elbow, and shoulder, conditions of the lower extremity including the foot and ankle, knee and hip. He also provided treatment for conditions of the neck and back.
Dr. Foster had a special interest in Arthroscopic treatment of conditions of the Shoulder and Knee. This included Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair, Labral Repair, Subacromial Decompression, Repair of Instability, Acromioclavicular joint injury and other conditions of the Shoulder. Arthroscopic meniscus repair, cartilage repair, ligament repair and ACL reconstruction. Arthroscopic treatment of Elbow conditions such as Tennis Elbow, removal of Loose Bodies, Conditions of Articular Cartilage and Elbow stiffness or Impingement.
Dr. Foster is no longer actively providing orthopedic care either surgical or nonsurgical and is fully retired from his practice.
